Pema Guest House: a family guest house in the heart of Tamang territory

Pema Guest House is a family owned and run, located in Briddim, an authentic Tamang village on the Tamang Heritage Trail in Langtang National Park. We can provide everything you need to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. In our place, expect things like WiFi, warm showers, modern build wooden rooms and delicious local and western foods and snacks. Apart from that we love to have a chat and tell you more about local Tamang culture and traditions. So come stay with us and experience our warm welcome for yourself !

We welcome also volunteers in our amazing place in Nepal for who want experience life in a remote, rich cultural and environmental area. For people who want to trek we manage also social trek with local guides, for the direct benefit of local families, which helps them in daily life and for the cost of children’s education in this remoted area.

Everest Base Camp (EBC) Trek

Duration: 12-14 days

Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging

Highlights: Stand at the base of Mount Everest and immerse in Sherpa culture

Best Time: March-May, October-November

Starting Point: Lukla

Annapurna Circuit Trek

Duration: 15-20 days

Manaslu Circuit Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Duration: 4-5 days

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate

Highlights: Sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges

Best Time: Year-round

Starting Point: Nayapul

Short on time but eager for a Himalayan adventure? The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is famous for its panoramic sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. This short trek is ideal for beginners.


How to get to Pema Guest House ?

    • From Kathmandu : 5 min walk from the Gongabu bus station. There is a different bus stop called Machha Pokhari (ask anybody on street where Machha Pokhari ticket counter is). There is a bus to Langtang Valley, leaves at 6.00 a.m. and it’s final destination Timure. The ride will take about 7 hours, and you should ask to get off in Lingling. The entry fee of the Langtang National Park entry reserve is 3000 Nepali rupees. From Lingling there is a mountain trail and the hike will take around 2 and 2.30 hours walking to reach Pema guest house. Moreover, you have also the option, in the bus stop Machha Pokhari, to buy a ticket for a jeep in order to go directly to Bridhim. The jeep name is Tata Sumo ticket. Don’t hesitate to ask peoples on street.

    • From Syabrubesi : you can take a nature trail to Bridhim, and it will take 3 to 4 hours of walk to get Pema Guest House.

    • From Langtang Valley trek : If you are in Langtang Valley Trek and you are in Lama Hotel, Remache, or Sherpagon, I could take approximately 1 day walk to get to Pema Guest House

    • From Tamang Heritage Trail : If you are in Tamang Heritage trail/trek, you can come from Nagthali or Thuman to Bridhim in approximately 1 day walking trail to reach Pema Guest House.

    • From Timure/Rasuwagadi (Tibetan border) : If you are in the Tibetan border, you can reach Bridhim in 4-5 hours walking and arrive in Pema Guest House.

    • From Gosakunda trek : If you are in the Gosaikunda trek and in Thulo Syabru village, It would take 1 day (6 hours walk) to reach our Pema Guest House in Bridhim village.
