Dawa Tamang, an independent local trekking guide for the Tamang Heritage Trail.
Tassidele, hello in Tamang language!
My name is Dawa Tamang and I am excited to be of service to you, if you are considering of have decided to go trekking in my beautiful country Nepal! I’m an experienced, working as a porter at first and later as a guide since 1999, and government licensed freelance trekking guide.
I was born and raised in mountains of Langtang National Park. Currently I still live in my hometown Briddim, which is a village on the Tamang Heritage Trail in the Langtang National Park. As a local guide, I propose to manage social treks in order to help peoples in area.
Join Social Trek to Tamang Heritage Trail and help directly local families
The villages in this region are very remote, and many people in the area just manage to survive. For example, it is difficult for many families to pay for their children’s education, as schools are not easily accessible from the various villages. When you decide to make use of my services and my team, you ensure your money will go directly to local families in remote areas on the involved trek, supporting their daily life. I will be honored and excited to welcome you to our beautiful country of Nepal and create an unforgettable trekking experience for you and together with you. I’m happy to answer any requests and provide more information, so please don’t hesitate to contact me.
This Trail trekking is situated at Rasuwa District in the north from Kathmandu nearby Tibetan border of Nepal and Langtang Region. It is newly opened Trekking trail which provides camping and homestay facilities. Mostly people of this region are Tibetans. In the earlier days they came from Tibet and they changed their ethnicity in Tamang in order to get Nepali citizenship. It is very famous itself by their topical culture of local people, beautiful architecture of their own mountain houses and ancient monasteries. Tamang ritual, Tibetan traditional culture, festival and local Syabaru dance makes this heritage trek very popular and unique. Moreover, you will pass by the Taruche Viewpoint, which is a beautiful view point near Nagthali pass from where you will be seen the Langtang Himalayan range and Kerung (Tibet). This is a not too difficult trek in Nepal, allowing anyone (even children and the elderly) to discover the beauty of the Himalayas.
